Description

Landneminn (Gamli) was published for 5 years, from 1938-1943. Editors and guarantors were: Guðmundur Vigfússon, Stefán O. Magnússon, Árni Beck, Hallgrímur Hallgrímsson, Gestur Þorgrímsson, Ásmundur Sigurjónsson and Ólafur Jóhann Sigurðsson. Wire-bound sheets. The magazine’s topics are mainly political articles about the Soviet Union, the war and the Icelandic trade union movement, and sometimes poems are published. The blade is very different in size as shown in the table below. It was printed on poor newsprint in the first years so those papers have become quite worn, but since May 1942 the paper was better and those papers have been well preserved.
