EDDA. The newspaper Edda in Akureyri was a novelty in Icelandic newspaper production, according to the editor Árna Bjarnarson, who followed it with a few words. It was supposed to convey news about Icelanders’ bookmaking and all major books mentioned in news form and reviews about them. There was a writer section in each paper with a picture of the respective author. It also mentions the main publishing companies and their directors, printers and print shop managers, bookbinders and booksellers and others involved in book production. It was Árni’s intention that the paper Edda would be the most comprehensive and accessible reference work on contemporary bookmaking, and it was to be published weekly. – 1st table 1st year was published on March 10, 1945. It was 4 p. 34 X 24 cm in size. – In 1945, 8 issues were published, pages 1-17, a total of 68 pages. All double except the first. – Second year. 1946 was to be published monthly. He became 36 p. 3 sheets in total, 1.-5. tab.
