Freedom . A book of poems by Nordahl Grieg in Norwegian, which was published by Ragnar í Smári at the turn of the year 1943-1944, but the poet died in an air raid on Berlin 2. December 1943 Nordahl Grieg spent some time in Iceland during the war years with his wife, the actress Gerd Grieg, and he met several Icelandic poets. The poet Tómas Guðmundsson writes memoirs about him which are published here and the first poem in the book is Nordahl Grieg’s poem to his wife Gerd. The book is bound in a good hand, leather on the keel and a corner with a cover in style, gold on the keel. Size: 24.2 X 16 cm and 78 pages. The cover image is by the painter Ásgrím Jónsson.
