About the work :
These verses were first published for the exhibition “Blooming Days” in Hveragerði 2011 and tells about the preparations in the preface and also as to who wrote these verses in Skáldagatan in 1942 or 43. They were Jóhannes úr Käflar, Kristmann Guðmundsson and Rev. Helgi Sveinsson. Forty-three villagers are mentioned in 37 errands. Then there are Gamanvísur by Jóhannes from 1946 and a lecture by Reverend Helgi Sveinsson: Hveragerði – “the best place in the world” which he performed in 1951. Finally, they say goodbye to Reverend Helgi and Jóhannes, first in 1953 and then in 1956. – The booklet is wire-bound in a thin cover, and this is the second printing, because the first printing was with a thick cardboard cover. The book is 14.8 X 21 cm and 44 pages. to size. Layout and design: Páll Svansson.
